Snow Clouds

When I flew home from North Carolina, I saw the clouds again. Last time they looked like mountain peaks, but this time they reminded me of snow. I saw miles and miles of untouched snow. There was a tint of red and orange on the edges as the sun set on the horizon.

We started our descent and we sank into the snow. It was eerie. There was nothing but shades of gray outside our airplane – no signs of civilization. I watched and watched as we sank deeper and deeper. Suddenly, the world lit up. Instead of gray, I saw a backdrop of black that was dotted with millions of brilliant lights – white, yellow, orange and green. It was like I fell through the earth and came out on the other side.
