My Opinion
Someone asked me my opinion of Korean adoption the other day. They wanted to know what I thought about the growing awareness of adoption in Korea.
I look forward to a day where Korean children are adopted in Korea.
How can I say that? How can I say that when I quite vocally proclaim that I am happy with my adoption? How can I say that when I adopted my own son from Korea?
I am not anti-international adoption. I am not pro-international adoption. While it is necessary for Korean children to be adopted outside Korea, I support it. I participate in it. When a child is able to find a loving home within the country that they were born in, I applaud it.
